Well, I’ve decided to start blogging again! I haven’t thought much about this blog for the last year or so, but I started looking at all the pictures I have and figured you would all like to see them : ) And it will also be a good way for me to record the events in my life, big or small. So since it’s been a while, I have a bit of catching up to do!
Last December, Cody and I left Ryenn at home with her grandparents and went on a little holiday. We stayed a couple nights in Florida and then went on a short cruise to the Bahamas where we stayed for a few nights before we cruised back to Florida. It was a fun week! It felt good to get away, just the two of us and enjoy a bit of sunshine! I didn’t take too many pictures, but here are a few!
This is the little boat that we fished out of and got a little tour in.
beautiful beach!
So fast forward a few months, and I’m 20 weeks pregnant! Cody really wanted to know what the gender of our baby was this time around. And I was pretty curious myself, so we decided to find out! To make it fun for everyone else, I had a gender reveal party where we played some games and had some food and announced that we were having a BOY!
blue cake = boy
these were everyone’s guesses
We were very excited to have a son!
A few months after we found out the news that we would become parents to a boy, it actually happened! At about 3 o’clock in the morning on June 16th, 4 days early, I went into labour. Cody and I left for the hospital around 5 o’clock and by 8:40am baby boy Brix Cody Thomson was born! My labour was pretty intense and Brix was posterior (face up instead of face down like normal) but everything went well! We were really excited to have him in our family!
he was a little swollen and already chubby weighing 8lbs 7oz and I loved him right away : )

Ryenn just loved him
what a handsome little man
About a month after Brix was born, we headed out to the Thomson’s ranch to celebrate Ryenn’s 2nd birthday. Of course the only day that whole week that it rained was when we planned something outside, but everything turned out great. Ryenn had lots of fun and got some great presents!

Thanks for sticking with me through that long post! I’ll leave you now with some pictures of my cute kids and some other stuff too : )
Yay! I love all the pictures! Please don't wait a year before another post.
